Montenegro's only ferry and the shortest way across the Bay of Kotor. It saves roughly 30 km of driving around the bay, runs all year, and takes no reservation — you simply arrive and join the queue.

Frequency shifts with the season and the time of day, so we deliberately do not publish it as a fixed timetable. Sailings are frequent in summer and sparser overnight.
When it is worth it
- Arriving from Herceg Novi or Croatia — The ferry is far shorter than driving around the bay and usually wins even with a wait.
- Herceg Novi and the western bay — The ferry is the shortest way to Herceg Novi and Igalo. Žanjic, Rose and Mirište are reached onward by boat from the Herceg Novi side — the ferry does not take you to them.
- Peak season, busiest hours — In July and August the wait to board runs to 15–20 minutes. It is still worth waiting: the road around the bay is a narrow coastal lane through Prčanj and Stoliv that clogs in summer.
- Travelling without a car — Foot passengers cross free, but you need onward transport on the other side — the ferry alone is not a solution for guests without a vehicle.

How long does the ferry crossing take?
The crossing itself takes about 10 minutes. Your real travel time depends on the queue, which is longest around midday in summer.
Does the ferry run at night and in winter?
Yes. It operates all year and around the clock. Sailings are less frequent overnight and outside the summer season.
Do I need to book a ferry ticket in advance?
No. There is no advance booking — you arrive at the terminal, join the queue and pay at the booth before boarding.
How much driving does the ferry save?
Around 30 km. The alternative is the narrow coastal road around the bay through Prčanj and Stoliv, which is longer and slower in summer because of traffic through the villages.
